This coming weekend marks the fifth anniversary of my partnership with TOP MODEL UK! As the official photographer for the past five years, I’ve been in a unique position to capture all the tears and emotions along the way to find the best new faces in the UK and abroad! Past winners have gone on to greater things including walking at London Fashion Week, fronting campaigns and even setting up their own charity! And let’s not forgot that TOP MODEL has help raised significant awareness and fundraising for its nominated charity, Children with Cancer UK, to fight childhood cancers over the years.
To celebrate, here are some unreleased images from previous years that sum up a (very long) weekend of hard work and lots of partying! Keep an eye out for images from the 2014 Finals next week on Facebook, Twitter and of course on this website!
I bring my own style of multi-camera work usually reserved for sports photography to the runway (and look out for a future blog post as I take you behind the scenes as I show you how it’s done):
Two of my favourite images for different reasons: whether it was intentional or not, Naomi in the red dress turned a kept her eyes fixed to the cameras as she turned to walk back and give the dress some motion. Ricki looked the part wearing a green suit/sarong combo.
And here’s the reverse angle shot of Naomi:
Snapped a few frames as I rushed back from the wrong end of the runway!
